Nicola has had a keen interest in animals since a very young age and after leaving school at 16 studied Animal Management, during the course Nicola did a placement at Paragon Vets and after completing her course she was then taken on by Paragon as an Animal Care assistant and dog groomer. In 2007 Nicola started at Rowcliffe House Vets where she became a student Veterinary Nurse and did her training at Myerscough College. After Qualifying in 2010 she worked in General practice for a number of years treating a wide range of species until she was asked to join Veterinary Vision an Ophthalmic Referral Hospital in 2012. Nicola has worked her way through the business as the only nurse to being Head Nurse of 25 Nurses until 2023 when she took on the role of Business Relationship Manger, this role involves looking after and providing education to all the first opinion vets in the surrounding areas of their 4 referral hospitals based in the north of England and Scotland.
The talk will give insights in to how our animals see the world compared to humans and discuss the referral options that are available for everyone’s beloved pets. The talk has lots of pictures and videos showing the latest ophthalmic treatments now available to animals.
