Joe Human:
With 20 years teaching humanities in Kenya, Papua New Guinea and England, 20 years working for Oxfam in communications and another 15 as a Fairtrade campaigner, Joe Human has had a lifetime telling stories of people on the frontline. Now involved with Sustainable Keswick he is putting his time and energies into communicating through words and pictures the realities of life for people on the frontline of climate change.

Joe will looks at the impact of the climate crisis on small coffee farmers, focussing on Ethiopia, which he has visited many times and Kenya, where he lived for several years. He will go on to consider how members of coffee cooperatives who are able to sell their coffee into the Fairtrade market have benefitted from a programme which has helped them adapt and build resilience.
